Ottawa’s Worker Impact Survey Report 2021

The COVID -19 pandemic has had a significant impact on the local workforce in Ottawa. While many studies have focused on the impacts of COVID -19 and the socio-economic consequences of the pandemic, little was known about the employment barriers experienced by the local workforce and how programs and services can adapt to best support job seekers.

Ottawa’s Worker Impact Survey Report-2021 focuses on the respondents from Ottawa ONLY and discusses the results of two main components from the Worker Impact Survey (WIS). These components include: 1) Worker Impact Survey results yielding input from three hundred and eighteen (318) individuals in Ottawa; and 2) Community Focus Groups facilitated with voluntary participants residing in Ottawa. This data was collected between March 17th and April 30th, 2021
