Canada Revenue Agency, Apprenticeship Job Creation Tax Credit A non-refundable tax credit equal to 10% of the eligible salaries and wages payable to eligible apprentices in respect of employment after May 1, 2006; maximum credit is $2,000 per year for each eligible apprentice.
Employment and Social Development Canada Work-Sharing (WS) program is intended to prevent the lay-off of permanent, full-time employees during a temporary reduction of business activity that is beyond the control of the employer. Provides income support to employees eligible for Employment Insurance benefits who work a temporarily reduced work week while their employer recovers.

Ministry of Training Colleges and Universities, Canada-Ontario Job Grant The Canada-Ontario Job Grant provides direct financial support to individual employers or employer consortia who wish to purchase training for their employees. It is available to small, medium and large businesses with a plan to deliver short-term training to existing and new employees. Ministry of Training Colleges and Universities, Ontario Job Creation Partnership If you need an employee for a new business project, you may be eligible for this program. You can apply to hire an employee who will be paid by the program if you have a fixed start and end time, your project is a new addition to your normal projects, you are offering a meaningful work experience, it benefits the community or the local economy. Your business does not have to pay the employee but should be able to pay a share of the project costs.
Ministry of Training Colleges and Universities, Ontario Labour Market Partnership If you are an employer or employee/employer association in Ontario, you could receive funding to assist in developing and implementing strategies for dealing with labour force adjustments and meeting human resource requirements. Your projects should address a labour market issue, include two or more partners who contribute resources, have fixed start and end dates, require no future funding.
Ontario Ministry of Finance, Apprenticeship Training Tax Credit Employers who have incurred expenses as a result of hiring and training an apprentice in a skilled trade on or before November 14, 2017 can claim up top 30% of the expenditures for a refundable tax credit. Ontario Ministry of Finance, Ontario Innovation Tax Credit If you are a corporation that has performed scientific research and experimental development in Ontario, you may be eligible to receive a tax credit from the Government of Ontario. Ministry of Economic Development, Job Creation and Trade, Ontario Research Fund Funding to help cover cost of research operations (e.g. slaries, supplies, etc.). Provides a single window for research funding, including wages and benefits across a variety of programs to support scientific research that can be developed into innovative goods and services to boost Ontario’s economy.
